It is a delight to find a luxurious city haven different to that of a large hotel. Mollies is such a breath of fresh air! Its gabled Victorian facade is a tell tale clue. Mollies is no museum, it is a property full of life in a musical ambience that can only come from the collaboration of talented husband and wife team, Stephen and Frances. She was a concert pianist and teacher of aspiring opera singers; he designed opera sets and was an antique dealer. The Inn is full of their personal treasures and the resulting in a exciting and memorable stay where the ambiance of the hotel is unforgettable.

FOOD:  Eating at Mollies is a delight. They are known for incredible table settings that are changed by the talented staff of the hotel each evening. They have become known as "Tablescapes" The hotel is lit by candlelight at night and is a very romantic setting.  During dinner the staff break out into opera and sing for the guests. These are very talented performers who receive coaching from the owner Frances, who is one of the leading opera singing coaches in New Zealand. Breakfast is an advent with a wonderful menu and a light and airy setting for breakfast complete with great flower arrangements.

ROOMS: The room are incredible. There are no small rooms here. Every room has a big lounge area along with the bedroom and many have a small kitchen area. These are like apartments not rooms.  The decor is incredible and each room has its own character. Many of the rooms have a fireplace and you return to the room after dinner to dimmed lights and the fireplace crackling. It is a magical place. The bathrooms are very modern with every convenience being considered to make you 100% comfortable.

GROUNDS:  Mollies has an incredible garden that is available to the guests. Some of the downstairs rooms open right onto the gardens and the walkways to the upstairs rooms look over the flowers and trees. SPA:  The spa is presently being expanded and soon will be a large spa with several treatments rooms and as everything at Mollies is special I am sure this new spa will be magnificent.

Mollies is a harmony of nostalgia. A state-of-the-art sanctuary within close proximity to the city centre and in easy strolling distance of so distance of some of the city's best dining establishments.
