TREE TOPS LODGE ROTORUA   A new property built in the beautiful natural New Zealand bush.

Personal Impression:   Located about 30 minutes from Rotorua. Treetops was built by New Zealander, John Sax who had a vision of a truly remarkable lodge located in the heart of the majestic and inspiring New Zealand bush. The result is a  truly stunning property lodge nestled under towering trees, with pheasants roaming the grounds, spectacular scenery and all the joys that being in the bush can offer.  The atmosphere is luxurious but casual as the key goal here is to have you relax and become one with nature.

The Lodge:  The main lodge is beautifully decorated and has a huge WOW factor the second you arrive. The main room pictured above is huge and full of remarkable furnishings. The long table on entry is carved from one tree and the grains in the wood are spectacular. The room has a lot of unique art work and even the light fixtures are special as pictured above.  Behind the main room is a library with computer and a billiard room available to all guests at their leisure.
 

Accommodations: Tree Tops features the finest in accommodation. Chose from the four rooms in the main lodge or enjoy one of the larger Valley or Forest villas featuring a large bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet and living room with fireplace.  A villa is pictured below.  On waking in the morning I heard a strange sound. On further investigation I found it was a family of pheasants sitting right in front of our bedroom.  A truly wonderful way to start the day.
 

Activities:  Much is centered on enjoying your surroundings. A stroll along bush paths or a hike to a nearby waterfall.  The bush is yours to enjoy.  Horse back riding, helicopter flights and all types of activities are available to you. A day can also be spend in the Rotorua area and the lodge will organize a guide to show you the main sites in Rotorua.

Dining: Pre dinner drinks, dinner and breakfast are included in your room rate.  Wine and alcoholic beverages are not included with dinner.  Dinner is served in the main dining room and is a multi course dinner with choices for each course. 

Breakfast is served in a light and airy restaurant that is open to the kitchen area where your chef creates his masterpieces for your enjoyment.
