The property:  Huntley House is a large and classic colonial house built in 1876.  In 1971 the Reid family bought the house and it now a delightful boutique hotel offering the finest accommodation in a historic home. The house is set amount huge towering trees and has manicured park like lawns and gardens.

Location: Huntley House is located very close to the Christchurch airport and about 15 minutes from downtown Christchurch.

Accommodations:  The rooms are all different here with each one holding its own charm.  All the rooms are spacious with very updated bathrooms. The entire house has been renovated to retain the charm of the colonial area but with all modern conveniences. All rooms feature King size beds (or two King singles), Eiderdown bedding, spa bath and separate shower, mini bars, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, DVD and CD players, sky satellite television, hairdryers and writing desks, broadband internet access, central heating and garden views.

Activities:  Christchurch is a large city offering many activities. Very close to Huntley House is the Christchurch Antarctica Center which is interesting for all ages.

Dining: The property offers breakfast to all guests in a kitchen setting and you order whatever you like and the chef will cook your breakfast to order.  High teas, lunch and dinners are served at Huntley House using the freshest seasonable produce available.  All guests are invited to the bar in the evening for an aperitif from a choice of excellent wines and spirits.
